What is Active directory?

 Active directory is a Microsoft Feature, where it will provide the access to login within the network from any machine.
The active directory will store user information like first name, last name, display name, department, reporting manager etc..

also it will store the user login details like user ID and password.
once user account is created in Active directory, user can login in any machine which were added into domain.
